Bink & Gollie

Newbery winning author Kate DiCamillo pairs up Alison McGhee to create an engaging story about two precocious young girls, Bink and Gollie.  One is tiny. One is tall. Gollie loves pancakes. Bink loves peanut butter.  Both are beyond imagination.  The two extraordinary girls share three humorous adventures involving an outrageous pair of socks, a trip to the Andes and the somewhat intrusive addition of a most unlikely new companion.  Despite not always agreeing on everything, at the end of the day they are always best friends.   This is a wonderful  tale of friendship brought  to life by the delightful  illustrations of Tony Fucile.  I hope we see more of Bink and Gollie.

  1. Thanks for stopping by. I'm somewhat of a novice at blogging, but am plugging away at it. It's one of the technologies that we are teaching students these days. So I figured I'd better give it a try. Besides it's another way for me to tell students (and anyone else that will listen/read) about books.
